Justification on Overall Design
·
We chose this design as it was important for us to convey a specific
message clearly in terms of the visual interface between users.
·
Similarly, in a visual design that we use must also be balanced, in
which graphic elements are arranged so that the weight balanced in every part
of the design. In this way, consumers will feel comfortable look.
·
Our visual design contains some element because it is better for us to
lack the element, as is easily seen and will also be easy to understand how
it's used.
Metaphors
Student
Task 1(Student) Log In for Credit Exemption System
·
Display 2 column/box where existing student need to fill box with
detail (username using matrix number & password can using any number or
letter, 6 to 12 number/letters ).
·
For first time user, student need to fill box with detail (username
using matrix number & password can using IC number ).
·
After complete fill detail, student need to click “login” button to enter next
website.
Task 2(Student) Fill up form for Credit Exemption and Submit to system
·
Display all subject in course which student taken. Student need to
choose & select subject which the student want to make credit exemption.
·
After complete selected any subject for credit exemption, student need
to click “apply credit exemption”
·
Student need “upload this file” & select file where student save
their transcript result to upload. After
complete upload, student need to click “submit” to submit academic transcript
as attachment for lecturer reference.
Task 3(Student) Submission complete and Log Out

Display “successful” means submission complete &
student will get reference number of submission for student reference.
·
If display “unsuccessful” means submission not
complete & student need to back to task 1 for reapplied or student can
click “log out” to exit from system.
Admin
Task 1(Admin) Log In for Credit Exemption Processing System
·
Usually, notification will appear when student want to make
exemption. Admin need to log in by enter staff number to enter credit exemption
processing system.
·
After admin staff enter staff number, admin need to click icon “key
& lock” & then will appear column password.
·
Then admin enter their password & click “login” to enter Credit
Exemption Processing System.
Task 2(Admin) Select Student Credit Exemption Submission Status
·
Display “Student Credit Exemption Submission Status” & admin need to
click it for next process
Task 3(Admin) Key In Student Data
·
Display status of student application for exemption credit by faculty
& admin will click number at row “complete check by faculty” to key in data
for student.
·
After click it, admin can view student detail & can edit student
detail exemption credit.
·
After complete update student detail for exemption credit, admin need to
click button “Submit to SMP UTMSPACE” to end process.
·
If admin click number at “pending
check by faculty” admin only can view student status, update not allowed.
Task 4(Admin) Complete Submit to SMP UTMSPACE and Log Out
·
Display “successful” means submission complete &
admin will get reference number of submission for admin reference.
·
If display “unsuccessful” means submission not
complete & admin need to back to task 2 for recheck Student Credit
Exemption Submission Statusor admin can click “log out” to exit from system.
Lecturer/Faculty
Task 1(Lecturer) Log In for Credit Exemption Approval System
·
Display main page for lecturers portal contain box with username
& password need to be fill by lecturer to enter website lecturer portal.
·
After complete fill detail username & password, lecturer need to click “login” to enter
lecturers portal.
Task 2 (Lecturer) Select Student Credit Exemption Application List
·
Display several menu at page lecturer portal & lecturer need to
select/click “Student Credit Exemption Application List” to enter the page for
approval.
·
At “Student Credit Exemption Application List” page, lecturer can view
list of faculty student who apply online exemption credit & lecturer need
to select student by click his name to view student application.
Task 3 (Lecturer) Select approved or reject Student Credit Exemption
Submission
·
Display the subject of student want to make exemption credit. Lecturer
can view academic transcript that student attach for lecturers reference.
·
Lecturers need to thick at box wether to approve or reject.
·
Need to click “Next” button for next page/process.
·
Lecturer can comment or give reason at “box comment” why reject or
approved the student application.
·
After complete comment, lecturer can click “done” & then “submit”
for next process (admin key in data in student detail).
Task 4 (Lecturer) Lecturer leave comment on Comment Box and Log Out
·
Lecturer can click “log out” to exit system or lecturer can back to task
2 for lecturer make approval for other student or lecturer can back to task 1
to view other menu at lecturer portal.
